Beautiful Smiles with Lumineers

Are you bothered by teeth that are a bit crooked, discolored, or even chipped? Do you have gaps between your teeth or spacing issues? At Smile Angels of Beverly Hills, we take pride in giving our patients their best smiles ever with Lumineers, brand name dental veneers that are easier to install and more stunning than standard porcelain veneers. Lumineers can be a great solution to give you the perfect smile you're looking for with long-lasting results.

What Are Lumineers?

You may be familiar with porcelain dental veneers and what they can do, but you may not be familiar with Lumineers, a name brand of dental veneers that are made with a patented porcelain called Cerinate®. While similar to veneers, they are actually much thinner and do not require removing your natural enamel! Because the protective enamel on your teeth does not need to be extensively etched or even slightly removed as with standard veneers, this treatment is comfortable and allows you to expose your natural teeth again later if you choose. With regular veneers, this may not be an option.

How Much Do Lumineers Cost in Beverly Hills?

On average, Lumineers cost between $1,000 and $2,000 per tooth. There are many factors that can influence the ost of your treatment, however, including how many teeth you want to treat and the difficulty of your treatment. Correcting some cosmetic issues with veneers can be more expensive than others. To find out your individual cost and develop a personalized treatment plan, please call us at Smile Angels of Beverly Hills to schedule your consultation.

Benefits of Lumineers

Lumineers are a great solution to completely transform your smile and address your specific cosmetic concerns. Here's why our patients in Beverly Hills love Lumineers over standard dental veneers:

  • Long lasting
  • No anesthetic injetions or harsh drills
  • No pain at all
  • Completed in 2 office visits
  • Thickness of a contact lens without the need to remove tooth enamel
  • Treatment can be completely reversed
  • Delivers beautiful, white teeth
  • Can correct a wide range of issues like gaps, misshapen or crooked teeth, small teeth, discoloration, and chips

The Lumineers Procedure in Beverly Hills

The Lumineers procedure only requires two office visits: one to take a mold of the teeth that will be covered and choose the right shade and a second visit to fit and permanently adhere the Lumineers once they are fabricated in a lab.

During your first appointment, X-rays and bite impressions will be taken to understand exactly how your teeth fit together. You will also be examined for any signs of tooth decay or gum disease. Your dentist will help you choose the right shade and level of transparency for your veneers and your impressions will be sent to a lab.

During your follow-up appointment, your Lumineers will be bonded to your teeth. Some teeth may need a very small amount of etching but it won't be extensive as with regular veneers. A bonding substance will be applied to the porcelain and the veneers will be placed and polished. Finally, the Lumineers are separated to give you a brilliant and beautiful smile.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Lumineers?

If you're interested in improving your smile, you may be a good candidate for Cerinate® porcelain veneers. Good candidates for this procedure have good overall oral health and do not grind or clench their teeth. You should also have good tooth enamel, although Cerinate® veneers do not require removing much if any enamel. You may be a good candidate if any of the following are true:

  • You want to address minor cosmetic problems. Veneers are great for addressing gaps, staining or discoloration, teeth that are mild to moderately crooked, small or oddly shaped teeth, and chipped teeth, among other issues.
  • You want to correct more than one issue. Because veneers are so versatile, they're perfet for addressing several cosmetic issues at once.
  • You have cosmetic issues with the structure of your teeth. This includes gaps, chips, or misshapen teeth that could be corrected with bonding, but veneers offer a long-term solution.
  • You have teeth that are severely stained. Very dark stains won't respond to teeth whitening but veneers can cover internal and external stains, including discoloration from deay or old dental fillings.

Lumineers Vs. Veneers

Lumineers are similar to regular veneers and are actually a type of veneer, but they're much thinner and made from Cerinate®, a patented type of porcelain that allows them to retain their strength and durability. Because this brand of veneers is so thin, they can be applied to your teeth without significant etching to remove enamel -- a major drawback of standard veneers that damages the natural protective coating of your teeth. Because the Cerinate® porcelain is so thin, it can even transmit light just like your regular enamel for a bright, beautiful, and natural-looking smile.

Is Lumineers the Right Option for Me?

While veneers can be suitable for most people, Lumineers still may not be the right option for you. Lumineers are one of the most expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures available, although they offer very long-lasting results. Veneers can be a great alternative to bonding, crowns, tooth whitening, and braces but they are not a good option if you have severe tooth decay or large fillings or you are prone to grinding or clenching your teeth as this can chip or crack the veneer shells. You may, however, mitigate this by wearing a mouthguard and taking precautions to protect the veneers.

The best way to determine if Lumineers are right for you is by contacting your dentist at Smile Angels of Beverly Hills for a free pre-treatment evaluation. We will assess the health of your teeth and gums, go over your cosmetic concerns, and help you explore all of your treatment options to see if veneers make the most sense.

Insurance and Financing

Dental veneers are considered a purely cosmetic dental procedure and they are not covered by dental insurance. That does not mean you have no options for paying for Lumineers, however. Smile Angels of Beverly Hills is proud to offer financing through CareCredit to make it as easy and convenient as possible to afford Cerinate® veneers. With CareCredit, you can finance your treatment and pay down your balance with low monthly payments and special financing options.
